MY BEST FRIEND

Xènia Àvila is my best friend from kindergarten. Xènia's from Banyoles, a small village in Catalonia. She's got one sister – her name's Aina.

She's mad about animals and she's got one rabbit. Her name's Floreta.

She's also into sport and she likes horse-riding and gymnastics, but she's not interested in art.

At home, Xenia likes chatting to people in the internet or watching films – her favourite actors are Robert Pattinson, Mario Casas and Maria Valverde.

She likes going to restaurants and usually eat pasta.

NATIONALITY AND LANGUAGE REPORT

Hello, I'm Laia and I from Catalonia. I go to Escola Casa Nostra in Banyoles. In my

class there are twenty-seven students from four different countries. There are people from Spain, Marocco, Romania and Onduras.

Are school we have English classes three times a week, Catalan classes three times week and Spanish classes three times week. People in this classes speaks Catalan.

My level English it's good, my average is notable. My vocabulary, listening and speaking is quite good. I think it's good idea to read books or comics in English and go to a language school.

About Banyoles

BANYOLES

Banyoles is a town in the north of Catalonia. It’s got a population of about 17.000, and there is a lot of tourism here.

I like Banyoles because it’s a nice and friendly town. For tourists there are many places to visit: the lake, museums, squares,... My favourite place is the lake because you can do many things: rowing, running, swimming,...

Banyoles is 20 kilometres from Girona and 120 kilometres from Barcelona.
