Birds of paradise is the polynesian show. In this show you can see a wide variety of birds. You can touch the birds. When I was five, I saw this show and I very like it!

Is the shows of lights in the night. Many colors illuminate the water and the sky. Shapes of dragons pose in the water.

ABOUT BANUYOLES

Banyoles is a town in the north of Catalonia. It’s got a population of about 17.000, and there is a lot of tourism here.

I like Banyoles because it’s a nice and friendly town. For tourists there are many places to visit: the lake, museums, squares,... My favourite place is the lake because you can do many things: rowing, running, swimming,...

Banyoles is 20 kilometres from Girona and 120 kilometres from Barcelona.

Maria Sharapova

Maria Sharapova full name is Maria Yuryevna Sharapova. She was born on 19th of April 1987 in Nyagnan, Russia. She's 1 metre 88 centemetres tall. She's slim amd she's got long fair hair and blue eyes.

Maria first played tennis when she was three years old, and she became a professional in 2001.

Maria won her first big trophy in Wimbledon in 2004.

CANTONIGRÓS

Cantonigrós is a small city in Osona, Catalonia.

In this town you can visit La Foradada, a very beautiful waterfall. There is not much to see, but you can have many excurcions. The best places to go are the different woods and the La Foradada.

I would go there again because I had a very good time.

THE "TIÓ"

Every year there's a very important celebration in Banyoles. It's called "Cagar el Tió".
This celebration is on 25th of December and it's a celebration in winter.
On the day of celebration I get up early becose I am very nervous. Me and my family get dressed for the party. After that we meet all family and "caguem el Tió" together.
I like "cagar el Tió" becose of all the gifts I have and that we can meet all the family. We also sing songs and dance.

POLAR BEARS

The animal in this photo is a polar bear.

Polar bears live in Artic, Canada, Russia, Greenland and Norway. They live and hunt on the ice. Polar bears usually eat seals. Femeles have two cubs every four or five years. Adult polar bears are 750 kilos. They can swim more than 150 kilometres.

The Artic ice is smaller because the climate is changing. Pollution is a problem, specially oil. Humans hunt polar bears in some areas.

I’m very happy that you’re coming to stay with us next Thursday. Here’s some information about my timetable and my school.

School starts at 9 and there are six lessons every day. The lessons are 60 minutes. All subjects are compulsory. There are clubs after school, for example music, English lessons and sports.

People usually eat at school and eat the menu of school.

Justin Bieber became famous at age 12. He got a record deal after his mother put some of his videos on YouTube and a music manager saw the videos. The 16-year-old Canadian is from a poor family. He taught himself to play the piano, drums, guitar and trumpet.
Today, he is an international star, and he sold more than 4 million albums in 2010. But Justin is also criticized. 
What does he think about this?
"There are more people that like me than there are who hate me," he says.
Justin has coach who helps him live with his fame. Sometimes, he feels lonley: "It doesen't matter where I am, as long as I have family and friends close to me.

Could this be the new Justin Bieber? Some people think so! 14-year-old Cody Simpson from AUstralia started recording songs in his bedroom in 2009. He put some songs on YouTube and was discovered by a record producer. His album 4U was Number Four in the USA. Not bad, Cody!

PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN

Johnny Depp is back as the world's favourite pirate, Jack Sparrow. In the fourth Pirates film, Jack meets Angelica, a woman from his past, played by Penelope Cruz. Je is not sure if she love him or of she want to find the Fountain of Youth. When Angelica takes Jack onto pirate Blackbeard's ship, Jack goes on another adventure. But who should he fear: Blackbeard or Angelica?

Recipe: American brownies.

You will need:

- 200 grammes butter.

- 125 grammes chocolate.

- 200 grammes sugar.

- 175 grammes flour.

- 3 eggs.

- 100 grammes chopped nuts.

Preparation:

1. Melt the butter and chocolate in a saucepan. Turn off heat.

2. Add sugar. Mix together. Add the eggs, flour and chopped nuts. Mix together.

3. Put the mixture into a greased oven dish.

4. Bake at 175ºC for 25 minutes.

5. Let the brownies cool. Cut them into squares.

When Roald Dahl was boy, he liked to play jokes like throwing water bombs at people. At eight, Dahl was punishted for putting a dead rat in a jar of sweets! This juvenille sense of humor influenced his stories. When Dahl was at school, Cadbury's chocolate company sent chocolate bar that would impress Mr Cadbury. This gave him the idea for his book Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

This is 15-years-old German girl, Regina Mayer and fer cow, Luna. Regina loves horses but her parents did not have the money to buy her one. So she decidited to train her cow jump! Now Luna understand commands "go", "stand" and "gallop". Regina stills wants a horse, but she love her cow. "She'll stay my darling," Regina says.
